Surfside Costa Rica Activites

Boogie Boarding. This is a short board that you body surf with, and seems to be the most popular kid activity. Kids can start on a gentle beach with small waves until they get the hang of it, then graduate all the way up to surfer beaches, such as Playa Grande. Scuba/Snorkel Tours. There are a host of scuba destinations and places to snorkel in the waters around Surfside. Scuba and snorkel tours are available at

Monkey Park. This is a refuge for injured monkeys and other jungle animals. It is located about 2 km east of the gas station outside of Huacus. The Spanish language only website is:

ATV Tours. ATVs are obnoxious if someone else is riding them, but a blast if you are riding them. They can be rented in Brasilito next to the "Super Brasilito" or on the beach at Playa Conchal. The owner is Orlando - cell phone 653-8239

Jet Skis/Sailboats. These can be rented on the beach at Playa Conchal.

Horseback Tours. Also rented through Orlando in Brasilito - cell phone 653-8239.

Zip Line. The zip line tour near Surfside is called Congo Trail Canopy Tour. It is about 20 minutes from the house on the Monkey Trail road.
